TikTok’s rolling out a new update of the app’s UI and presentation on larger screens, with tablets and foldable devices now set to get their own version of the TikTok experience.
This new update offers a complete upgrade, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing TikTok experience for users worldwide, regardless of the device they choose.
With this new update, TikTok says users will see a refined video feed that “showcases content with enhanced clarity.” Users will also now see navigation bars at the top and bottom of the screen to easily access to the app’s features and tabs.

TikTok users can now enjoy larger screens with clear video feeds, streamlined navigation bars, and orientation support, while exploring categories like Gaming, Food, Fashion, and Sports through Topic Feeds:
-
Clear video feed: Enjoy a more refined video feed that showcases content with enhanced clarity.
-
Streamlined navigation bars: Navigate through TikTok effortlessly with sleek navigation bars at the top and bottom of the screen for easy access to your favorite features and tabs.
-
Support for landscape or portrait use: It doesn’t matter how you hold your device, TikTok will now work in landscape or portrait orientation.
The update expands TikTok’s usage options across platforms, allowing more interaction with content. It also aims to reach younger users without mobile devices, although concerns arise about children accessing the platform.
It’s worth mentioning that TikTok’s optimization for foldables and tablets comes at a time when Instagram, one of its biggest competitors, still doesn’t have an iPad app. TikTok is able to move beyond its mobile-first approach by pushing out upgrades for app experiences on larger devices at a time when the competition is still lagging.
